Peach Bowl Bound!
When: Wednesday, December 31 12:30 P.M. Eastern Time
Where: Georgia Dome Atlanta, Georgia
Who: #6 TCU Horned Frogs (11-1) Big 12 Co-Champs
Watch: ESPN
For the third straight season, Coach Freeze has the Rebels bowling. Coming off a huge win in the Egg Bowl over Mississippi State, #9 Ole Miss is set to take on the #6 TCU Horned Frogs for the 7th time in school history.
TCU is coming in disappointed, after a lost opportunity to compete in the 4 team CFB Playoff. Gary Patterson and the Frogs boast the #2 scoring offense in the country, averaging 46 ppg. That being said, their defense isn't too bad either, ranking 16th nationally, allowing only 20 ppg. Their offense is powered by dual-threat Quarterback Trevone Boykin who has passed for over 3,700 yards and 30 touchdowns this season. He is also TCU's second best rusher, 642 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The must-see match up is the Rebels defense against the Horned Frog offense, a defense that ranks 1st nationally in points allowed (13), against the 2nd best offense in the nation. Senquez Golson, Cody Prewitt, and the rest of the Ole Miss secondary will be tested against a team that ranks 7th nationally, averaging over 330 yards per game passing.
This Peach Bowl has an opportunity to be a perfect benchmark to the reemergence of the Ole Miss Football Program under Coach Freeze. A victory would be the best way to sum up an unforgettable stint for Bo Wallace, Cody Prewitt, Senquez Golson, D.T. Shackelford, Serderious Bryant, and all the other seniors that have played such a pivotal role in the putting Ole Miss back in the spotlight.
"Fins Up" one more time in Atlanta, lets finish this unforgettable season on the right note. Hotty Toddy
